We had our first real tree in the new house this year. Somehow the Christmas season slipped past us last year and I was determined not to let that happen again. I got all of our presents purchased and wrapped with plenty of time left to ship them to all of our family members. The […]
Vicky and I are having a party today to celebrate our birthdays. I woke up to a backyard full of water and had to dig a trench so that it would flow away from the house. Of course, I had to name that trench “Birthday River”.
I was working in the backyard this weekend when I saw this little guy making his way across the deck!
I’m always in charge of desserts for the holidays. Chocolate pudding pie is my normal go-to but for this occasion I figured a good old fashioned pumpkin pie would be a better fit. I’m not sure what I expected, the house certainly isn’t old but I wanted to find something amazing beneath the floorboards. When the stairs were ripped up we found this old […]
I promise not to turn this into a home improvement blog…kinda. We’ve finally started working full force on the new house and lots of exciting things are happening. The back garden was our first big project followed by the tearing up of the hearth. I’ll try and post some before and after photos as we […]
